The IFMA Uganda Chapter will be officially launched on 30th April 2026 at the Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz by Marriott, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of the facilities management profession in Uganda.
The launch will be held under the theme:
“Sustaining Uganda’s Built Environment: The Power of Facilities Management.”
This theme reflects the critical role that facilities management plays in ensuring the safety, functionality, sustainability, and long-term value of buildings and infrastructure across Uganda’s public and private sectors.
The establishment of the IFMA Uganda Chapter aligns Uganda with the global network of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the world’s largest and most widely recognized association for facility management professionals. IFMA supports over 25,000 members worldwide and sets global benchmarks in professional standards, research, education, and certification.

The launch event will bring together professionals from facilities management, engineering, real estate, construction, asset management, government institutions, academia, and the private sector to discuss the future of Uganda’s built environment and the strategic role of facilities management.
Through partnerships, training programs, industry engagement, and knowledge sharing, the IFMA Uganda Chapter aims to support the efficient management of Uganda’s buildings and infrastructure while contributing to environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and improved service delivery.
